Using Jobzyl on a phone

Every screen has a phone layout rather than a shrunken desktop one, including the results list, the job sheet and the application board.

There is no separate app to install. The site is built mobile-first, so the phone layouts are designed rather than scaled down.

  • Results are a single dense list, and tapping a row opens the job as a full-screen sheet you can swipe away.
  • The insights panel becomes a collapsed strip above the first listing, since there is no room for a side pane.
  • The application board shows one stage column at a time rather than squeezing them all across the screen.
  • Filters and the account menu open as bottom sheets you can drag closed.
  • A tab bar along the bottom covers the places you move between most.

Add the site to your home screen and it opens without browser chrome. Your theme choice is remembered per device, so a phone can be dark while a laptop is light.

Where it stops: There are no push notifications, because there is no installed app to deliver them. Alerts and reminders arrive by email, which is the only mechanism that exists. See job alerts.
