Signing in, and resetting a password

Sign up with an email address and a password of at least 12 characters, then confirm the email. The code in that email also works on a different device.

Sign up with an email address and a password of at least 12 characters. Confirming the email is required, not optional, so the account is not usable until you have.

The confirmation email gives you two ways in

  • The link, which signs you in on the device that opened it.
  • The six-digit code, which you can type on the "Check your email" card, or on the verification page. This one works on a different device or browser from the one you signed up on, which is the case the link cannot cover.

Either is valid for 24 hours. You can ask for another after a short cooldown, and whatever you were part-way through doing when the wall appeared carries on once you are in.

Forgotten password

  1. Choose "Forgot password" on the sign-in screen.
  2. Open the email and either follow the link or type the code on the reset page. Both routes reach the same place.
  3. Set the new password. The 12-character minimum applies here too.
Other sign-in buttons
If sign-in providers are configured, their buttons appear on the login page. If none are, no buttons are shown rather than a button that fails when pressed. The page reflects what is actually available at the time you load it, so trust the page over any list written down anywhere.

Where it stops: We cannot resend a confirmation to a different address than the one you signed up with, and we cannot confirm an account on your behalf. If the email never arrives, check spam first, then tell us which address you used.
