Searching another country, or everywhere
The country box is a guess from your device on a first visit. Clear it to search everywhere, or type any country or city.
Type any country or city, or leave the location empty to search everywhere at once. On a first visit the box is filled in from your device’s time zone and says so underneath. It is a guess: remove the chip and the search covers every country. Once you set the country yourself, we stop guessing on that device.
A blank country still reads everything already in the index. A live search across the boards works better with one, because several sources have no way to be asked a question that has no place in it.
Remote is two different controls
- Remote only, under the search box, asks the boards themselves for remote-first roles before anything arrives.
- Work mode, in the filter bar, narrows rows that are already on screen.
They are not the same question, which is why both exist. The first changes what gets fetched; the second changes what you are shown.
Where it stops: Coverage is uneven by country and always will be: several sources are national, a few are global, and the remote-only boards ignore location entirely. A narrow search in a small market returns less than the same search in the US. See where results come from.
