Sharing and bookmarking a search
A search is a URL. Every keyword, location, filter and sort is in the address bar, so you can bookmark it or send it to someone.
- Copy the address bar once you have a search set up. Opening it later restores the keywords, the filters and the sort exactly as you left them.
- Back and forward work properly. Submitting a search adds a history entry; changing a filter replaces it. So Back returns to your previous search rather than stepping back through every chip you clicked.
- Anyone can open a link you send. Searching does not need an account. If the search needs a live fetch because we hold nothing for it yet, a signed-out reader is asked to sign in for that step.
- An open job travels with the link. If a job was open when you copied the address, it opens for whoever you send it to. Many postings also have a page of their own, linked from the job panel.
- A filter we no longer have is dropped rather than shown as a control you cannot clear.
Where it stops
A link restores the search, not the results as you saw them. Postings close and new ones arrive, so the list someone else sees can differ from yours.
