Sharing and bookmarking a search

A search is a URL. Every keyword, location, filter and sort is in the address bar, so you can bookmark it or send it to someone.

  • Copy the address bar once you have a search set up. Opening it later restores the keywords, the filters and the sort exactly as you left them.
  • Back and forward work properly. Submitting a search adds a history entry; changing a filter replaces it. So Back returns to your previous search rather than stepping back through every chip you clicked.
  • Anyone can open a link you send. Searching does not need an account, so a shared search is not a signup wall.
  • A filter we no longer have is dropped rather than shown as a control you cannot clear.

Where it stops: There is no permalink for a single job. You can share a search that finds it, but not the posting on its own. Use the Apply link if you want to send someone the job itself.
