Uploading a CV

Upload a PDF or paste plain text, keep as many CVs as you need for different kinds of role, and mark one as the default.

Needs a free account

  1. Open the actions menu above the results, or the CV library on your account page.
  2. Upload a PDF of up to 5 MB, or paste plain text. Pasted text needs to be at least a couple of sentences to be worth scoring against.
  3. Keep several CVs if you apply for different kinds of role, and mark one as the default. The default is the one scores are computed against.
  4. Scores then appear on rows and in the detail panel, and you can sort the whole result set by CV match.

A scanned, image-only PDF is rejected with an explanation rather than read as an empty document. A CV that silently scored zero everywhere would be worse than one that failed to upload.

Where it stops: We read the text, not the layout. Columns, tables and text inside images may come through in an order that is not the one you see, so if scores look wrong for a CV you are confident about, pasting the text is the quickest way to rule the file out.
